  Unit 1: Number Puzzles and Multiple Towers
Estimated Duration: 19 days

Investigation 1
: 4 lessons (1.1-1.4, omit 1.5-1.7)
Investigation 2: 6 lessons (2.1-2.7, skip 2.4A and combine 2.4 and 2.5)
NOTE: 2.4A was moved to Unit 7, where you will teach more Order of Operations to include fraction and decimals numbers.
Investigation 3: 8 lessons (3.1-3.8)


  Unit 2: Prisms and Pyramids

Estimated Duration: 13 days (12 lessons)

Investigation 1:  8 lessons (Including 1.5A)
Investigation 2:  4 lessons/5 days (Including 2.4A)
Investigation 3: SKIP this investigation

  Unit 4: What's That Portion? Fractions and Percents

Estimated Duration: 42 days

Investigation 1: 4 lessons (combine 1.3 and 1.4)
Investigation 2: 5 lessons (combine 2.5 and 2.6)
Investigation 3: 10 lessons
Investigation 4: 10 lessons

-After you complete Investigation 4, use these 6
DPI Multiplying and Dividing Fractions lessons to extend learning.
-After you complete the DPI lessons, complete the following 2 lessons for MD.2
-In addition to the 2 lessons for MD.2, it's suggested you use the 2 lessons from Unit 9 on line plots, 1.1 and 1.5A

  Unit 3: Thousands of Miles, Thousands of Seats
Estimated Duration: 12 days

Investigation 1: 3 Lessons (combine 1.1 and 1.2. combine, 13., combine 1.4 and 1.5)
Investigation 2: 2 Lessons (2.1 – 2.2)
Investigation 3: 4 lessons (3.1-3.4)

Additional Tasks and Lessons: The additional tasks and lessons should be used for the final 3 days of this 12 day unit.

 Unit 6: Decimals on Grids and Number Lines
Estimated Duration: 20 days

Investigation 1: 11 lessons (Including 5A)
Investigation 2: 9 lessons (Including 2.5A)

Investigation 3: After Unit 7

 Unit 7: How Many People, How Many Teams
Estimated Duration: 22 days

Investigation 1: 5 lessons (Including session 2.4A from Unit 1- Teach this after the first four lessons of this unit.) 
Investigation 2: 4 lessons
Investigation 3: 7 lessons
Investigation 4: 5 lessons
*Note- Ten Min. Math Number Puzzles have been replaced by more Order of Operations problems.

 Unit 6:  Investigation 3:  Multiplication and Division of Decimals
Estimated Duration: 9 days

Investigation 3: 9 lessons
*additional days will likely be needed for this Investigation to best support students.
 CMS Unit: Geometry
Estimated Duration: 5 days

Unit 5: 1.1-1.3, (omit Logo Paths in 1.2)

 Unit 8: Growth Patterns, Functions, and Change

Estimated Duration: 10 days

Investigation 1: 3 lessons (combine 1.1 & 1.2 and 1.4 & 1.5)
Investigation 24 lessons (2.1-2.4 only)

-1 day Geometry within the coordinate plane lesson
-2 days Coordinate Graphing- Complete the Robots and Coordinates Performance Task from Smarter Balanced
*Note- The Common Core adaptation for Ten-Minute Math (Practicing Place Value) includes expanded form.

Estimated Duration: 9 days
